Job Description:
Floor CA is the Boss of the Floor. The primary focus is to oversee the therapies and ensure patients are performing all recommended activities properly. The Floor CA is responsible for decompression laser therapy proper training and monitoring of wobble traction stretching and vibe. Floor CA maintains an acute awareness of the floor and flow during PrimeTime and acts as the liaison between the doctor and the front office with patient communication special appointments and referral requests. The Floor CA is one of the most critical members on the team when it comes to clinic excellence the patient experience and ultimately our capacity to scale and grow. The Floor CA will allow the doctor to focus on those things they are uniquely trained qualified and gifted to do: educate and adjust.
Job Responsibilities:
Before Shift:
Unlock doors and turn on lights
All computers on and logged into CT
All TVs and Monitors on
ChiroTV and Pandora (Thursday Netflix or Amazon)
Check copier paper
Familiarize yourself with the schedule for the day (manage patients)
New Patient training after Report of Findings
Ensure individual or group Report of Findingsroom setup and patient packages are ready for distribution all info filled in with financial documentsin place
During Shift:
Handle ChiroTV Health Secrets TV and CT Announcer (reset etc.
Assist patient with traction and therapies follow scripting
Load tables
NO CELL PHONE ZONE (Team & Patients). Ask patient to move to the front to talk on the phone no crossed legs cell phone phones held up high to avoid Forward Head Posture (FHP)
Ensure patients are NOT doing therapy out of order. YOU are THE only one who has permission to Reverse Flow based upon wait time.
Make sure patients have checked in and completed subjective note
Promote Better Results Fast (BRF) and Monthly BSW workshop
Keep patients compliant with therapies by:
During patient training notify the doctor if any therapies need to be adapted.
Encourage them and stress the importance of staying on track with doctors best recommendations for care
Ensure that all recommended therapies have been completed if not communicate with COCA make note and update charges. Advise the doctor if this is problematic.
Assist when necessary with therapy reinstruction
Stay alert to success stories/testimonials ask for review and story
Virtual consultations with Dr. Huffman in consult room
Perform Clinical tasks such as taking and analyzing xrays
Performing examinations
Manage exams during adjusting shift
Perform Progress Exams/Progress Exam Questionnaires and ReExaminations
Manages orthotics flow by casting ensuring orthotics are paid for shipping casted orthotics and checking in completed orthotics.
Setup room for BRF BSW or Consult room for Reports
Ensure Spinal Hygiene Kits are ordered and ready for NP and to be give out at BRF
First InFlow adjustment patient training This is what youll do each/every time you come (Primarily Floor Tech)
Signin
Turn cell phone off or vibrate
Wobble
Checkin when called to room
Face down out of gravity
Therapy training do not deviate from scripts
After Shift:
Organize traction room chairs pushed in weights returned ready for next shift
Wipe down tables headrest and instruments so room is ready for next shift
Check vibes and see if they need to be swept or vacuumed to remove debris
Empty trash
Body Signals Workshop promotions/marketing support
Ensure decompression and laser logs are completed after each session updated and saved in Google drive
Ensure notes for therapies performed are entered accurately to match daily charges communicate with COCA
Add PINCs
Assist Tech Doc and Lead Doc as needed
Backup to BOCA PIP If there is a referral for MRI Ortho or Neuro set aside in referrals pile complete after shift doctor signs fax/email then file in pending (PrepTime)
Inventory due on the 15th of each month report to CICA by the 14th for authorization and submitting
Preparation of New patient bags and ROF folders
On the 14th of each month do an inventory survey and report to OM what needs to be ordered.
Paper towel in all rooms
Hand sanitizer in between room 1 & 2
Hand soap in bathroom and kitchen
Log hours for payroll
AfterReport of Findings:
Patient training on therapies scripts must be followed
Email exercises (after Report of Findings)
Email updated exercise at progress exams or as requested.
First InFlow adjustment:
Train patient on wobble subjective note preparation to be adjusted
Oversee therapy train and retrain as needed
Assist with Home Medical Equipment (HME) patient training and documentation communicate with COCA to ensure proper paperwork is completed and charges are entered correctly
Always:
Be an ambassador for chiropractic and promote our practice in your conversations and with your lifestyle
Weekly Meeting Responsibilities:
Success stories from the floor patient breakthroughs and good results
Self sabotage stories from the floor patients skipping out on incompletely or improperly performing therapy.

Reporting Requirements:
The Tech CA reports directly to the Clinical Director/Lead DC and or OM
Resources:
AlignLife Policies and Procedures manual. Whenever there are updates to any of your duties and responsibilities the office manual must be updated accordingly by the end of the week when the change was made
