Our Monarch Boarding Academy is a coed therapeutic residential treatment program for individuals with Autism ages 8 through 20. The program focuses on developing communication and life skills so residents can learn how to function better allowing them to return home or to a lessrestrictive setting. Residents live in secure homelike cottages based on peer relationship skill sets.
As part of an interdisciplinary team of nursing and residential treatment professionals the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Nurse Manager is expected to provide clinical expertise and oversight of clients within the division of Residential Autism Services including the Monarch Boarding Academy and PRTF. The Nurse Manager will provide administrative clerical and practical support for the Director of Residential Autism Service as well as supervision to the nursing team assigned to the various locations included in the Monarch Center for Autism and will deliver safe and efficient nursing care services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide direct assistance supervision and support to nursing functions within the Residential Autism Services including but not limited to managing staff schedules interviewing hiring training mentoring supervision disciplinary actions and termination of employees.
- Deliver and model proactive service coordination for nursing duties within the program(s) including but not limited to medication administration pharmacy ordering addressing questions from clients and staff coordination with external stakeholders medical case coordination and participation in clinical rounds.
- Ensure continuity of care by taking active stance in treatment planning activities for clients within the program(s) including scheduling appointments conducting appropriate communication and followup completing and updating service documentation and problemsolving related issues that arise from these activities.
- Collaborate with program leadership members of the nursing team and direct care staff to ensure members of the nursing team are active participants in both the clinical and programmatic elements of client service provision and daily supervision.
- Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of clients while promoting a positive rapport and working environment that is considerate of the needs of residents/individuals within the program.
- Use evidencebased practice and research to guide client care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Treat examine and render care to clients in accordance with physicians orders.
- Provide preventative and rehabilitative psychiatric nursing procedures.
- Participate in audits client reviews and program reviews as needed
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend scheduled staff meetings supervision and ongoing training.
- All required trainings certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. In lieu of a degree an Associates Degree and two to three 23 years of experience is accepted.
- Licensure:Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license required.

- Experience: Experience working with children and adolescents required.
- Other: Previous supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related symptomology strongly preferred.
