Position Description:
Title: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic J
ob Number: NTG7
Location: Pirmasens Germany
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate repair and maintain heavy power construction equipment
- Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities including diagnostics and preventive maintenance
- Excavate move and grade earth to maintain roadways and firebreaks
- Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Calibrate load monitoring indicators and rebuild hydraulic cylinders valves and other components
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 25 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment
- Licensed or trained to operate applicable items of heavy equipment
- Must be experienced in the repair of major systems
- Specialized knowledge and skills in diesel and heavy automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to read and understand schematics blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of US military heavy vehicles and equipment MHE OSHA ANSI ASME military regulations standards and OEM requirements preferred
- Must be able to speak read and write English
- Must be an EU resident and authorized to work in Germany
Contract Requirements:
- Completed training in Vehicle Maintenance or related field from military technical school or an accredited technical school/college/university
- Two 2 years experience maintaining special purposetype vehicles
