Job Summary
Successfully instruct designated electrical courses and assist with the creation of course curriculum.
Essential Functions
Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the student Maintain a professional teaching environment Communicate with Training Coordinator regarding room media and copy needs Maintain control of purchased supplies for class Provide students with evaluation forms for completion Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Ability to safely use power tools hand tools and other equipment Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 50 pounds Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 of the time Use of manual dexterity Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information The person in this position needs to occasionally move from office to classroom Office and classroom setting Duties indoors and some outdoors Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three years of field experience as an electrician Active Electricians License through appropriate State agency Licensed Journeyman OSHA certification Must be available to instruct in afternoons or evenings
Preferred Qualifications
Master Electrician Prior classroom or onthejob teaching experience
