Job Description
Job Title: WAU Student Tutor (Various Disciplines) BHCSS
Department: Betty Howard Center For Student Success
Reports To: Dean of BHCSS
Hourly Rate: $17.15/hr.
FLSA Status: NonExempt

SUMMARY
The job of the tutor is to meet individually with students enrolled in courses in which the tutor has demonstrated mastery of knowledge and provide explanation/clarity on subject material insight guidance coaching and academic success strategies. Tutors must participate ina mandatory tutor training the week before classes begin and inoccasional tutor nights that will be scheduled throughout the academic year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meetindividually with students enrolled in courses that seek tutoring services
- Be able to workevenings as needed
- Must be a currently enrolled fulltime WAU student
- Must obtain the recommendation of the chair of the department under which the course(s) for which he/she tutors falls
