Job Description
The Residence Director (RD) is responsible for the development of a residential community within a Learning Community. Reporting to the Area Coordinator the RDs role is to support a meaningful residential experience ensuring the residence halls are rich learning environments where students develop and learn the skills necessary to successfully navigate life on campus. This is a required liveon position with a limited duration of a two 2 year term. We members of the Department of Residential Life are committed to creating and maintaining safe communities that welcome and accept people of all (dis)abilities ancestry ages ethnicities class gender identities or expressions genetic information marital status nationality of origin race and color religions spirituality sex sexual orientation size HIV status and veteran status. The goal of Residence Director role is to support our Learning Communities and champion our Community Learning Model (residential curriculum) focusing on student learning and development in the areas of (a) selfawareness (b) community responsibility social justice and inclusion and (d) global engagement.
Other Information
Successful candidates will be subject to background check due to the livein nature of this position. This is an 11 month position July 1 May 31.
