Valid California Drivers License
Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
Masters Degree in psychology social work or another related mental health field
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate as an associate ACSW APC AMFT
Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed) develops and maintains treatment plans and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishes a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walkin/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visits clients individually or as part of a team in a variety of living situations to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families observe progress provide counseling gather data and report significant changes in the clients condition to designated professional staff.
Valley Star Community Services One Stop TAY Center provides counseling and an array of supportive mental health substance abuse employment and educational services.
Services are provided in the office inhome or in community locations.
Amenities like showers laundry phone and internet services available on site.
Center helps young adults ages 1625 focus on their goals through a variety of services:
Individual and family counseling
Group Counseling
Psychiatric care
Medication management
Crisis intervention services
Intense case management
Housing and vocational support
