The basics of this position:

The Clinical Laboratory Technology program at STLCCForest Park is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member. The position is a parttime continuing position for the Fall 2025 semester. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of Medical Technology. The new Clinical Laboratory Technology adjunct faculty member will be expected to teach mentor students and fulfill some administrative duties within the Clinical Laboratory Technology program.

What youll do:

  • Provide instruction and support to students in the classroom and at assigned clinical sites. Monitor document and report student progress. Communicate with clinical preceptors and staff technologists to address any concerns or issues that arise. Evaluate student clinical performance. Participate in the accreditation and assessment process. Support the program director to assure effective program operations. Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials. Assist with classroom instruction when needed. Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline as appropriate. Maintain appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.

Education experience and other requirements:

Bachelors degree
Current MLT/MT(ASCP) registration
Two years of work experience as a Medical Technologist

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree
Three years of fulltime work experience as a Medical Technologist
Teaching experience in Medical Microbiology Hematology and Clinical Chemistry.
