Job Description

Number of Beds : 16 Patient Ratios : 1:2 1:1 for certain device patients Unit staffing description (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Free floating charge nurse to assist staff. Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech MF. Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts that assist nurses by performing tech duties. Type of equipment : Phillips bedside telemetry monitors HillRom beds Alaris IV pumps Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: 2 weekends/month 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day July 4th Labor Day) 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day New Years Eve New Years Day) Floating policy: C/L employees float as needed typically to other ICUs but can include other floors. Patient Experience requirements: None specificHospital Specifics Certifications: BLSHiring profileRequested Skill Set:Must have: Strong critical care experience including CVICU experienceAdvanced skills needed: Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required preferred experience with IABP Impella and CRRT.Procedures performed on unit: Provide care to immediate postoperative cardiac surgery patients including ECMO Centrimags and HM3 LVADS. Perform central line insertion swan insertion intubations etc. on unit.Certifications Required: ACLS BLSDress Code: (Required uniform) Scrubs black red or galaxy blue scrub jackets/vests onlyUnit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.Years Experience2
