Job overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in an food manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they function efficiently and safely. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and diagrams to accurately determine the layout and installation of electrical systems. You will install electrical components such as switches outlets and circuit breakers conduct tests on electrical systems and equipment to verify their proper functionality and troubleshoot any electrical issues making necessary repairs or replacements. Adherence to strict safety protocols and compliance with electrical codes and regulations is essential. Additionally you will collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget ensuring effective communication and coordination. This position requires a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail excellent problemsolving skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. We have various Industrial Electrician positions within our facility this position would be responsible for the boiler room and broader plant electrical maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install electrical components such as switches outlets and circuit breakers
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a red seal certification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience with a strong background in PLCs instrumentation and process control
- Previous experience with identifying root causes and implementing corrective action
- Proficient in using hand tools power tools and testing equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems wiring and circuitry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and diagrams
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending lifting or standing for extended periods
Job Type: Fulltime
Salary: $37.30 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Work Location: Lunenburg In person
