POSITION OVERVIEW:
RMA is seeking a fulltime Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Lenexa KS team. RMA is a small collegial and expanding geotechnical firm where people collaborate innovate build enduring relationships and grow professionally. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at RMA you will be responsible for managing small projects as well as managing discrete tasks within larger projects. In this role you will be expected to:
- Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates;
- Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples/core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing/reviewing/editing boring logs for investigations of any scale;
- Working directly with and managing subconsultants;
- Performing and/or supervising engineering analyses;
- Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports;
- Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of RMAs geotechnical recommendations;
- Assisting in the managing training mentoring and supervision of stafflevel engineers;
- Managing constructionphase services for projects; and
- Conducting onsite construction observation for engineeringrelated activities if needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
RMA is seeking a wellrounded Professional Engineer with experience on a variety of project types. The following minimum requirements apply to this position.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Kansas State Licensed PE
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrated strong problemsolving skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
