Title: Reman & Overhaul Quality Technician

Key Accountabilities:
- Assist Quality Engineers and in coordinating and implementing quality control objectives and activities to resolve workshop problems maximize product reliability and minimize cost
- Coordinate with engineer to perform inspections and measurements on parts and engines
- Perform inspections on parts and engines making sure quality meets the standards
- Analyze/Validate the inspection data and process quality check sheet
- Process deviation on quality issues
- Support inspections and complete the required paperwork to deliver the engine
- Support Tool and Gauge calibration. Improve audit calibration processes for efficiency
- Support the investigation of line calls with assisting in the determination of root cause
- Assist in OPTICS audit verifying effective and repeatable corrective measures
- Support customer audits
- Provide accurate and timely data to the quality department regarding quality concerns
- Assist in the monitoring of the calibration program through inspection of gauges and measuring equipment
- Keep quality abreast of progress developments & pending problems
- Write and distribute quality data and reports
- Implement and ensure good health and safety practices are followed along with good housekeeping practices
- Assist in implementing quality audits of production and operations
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the RollsRoyce Code of Conduct
- Perform special projects as required
Basic Requirements:
- Two years mechanical trade school or Associates Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Industrial or Quality Engineering and 5 years ofquality technician experience;or 8 years of quality technician experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced operational/quality ability and skill as demonstrated by acquiring the points associated with RollsRoyce Solutions Americas Skilled Based Pay Competency Level 4
- Knowledge of the practical application of manufacturing process and engine technology. This includes applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the production of internal combustion engines
- Knowledge of the dynamic performance requirements test setup and monitoring and problem resolution of internal combustion engines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of geometric tolerating and related gauges
- Selfstarter possessing strong initiative and teamwork
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- Familiar with plant operations and equipment
- Knowledge of MTU components and products
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine performance requirements
- Working knowledge of gauge and test equipment
