Software Engineer in Test (Perm TorontoREMOTE
Thisis a central and dynamic position within the organization as you will assessour product functionality and perform manual and automated testing. You willbuild and improve the Q/A framework by identifying gaps and working towardshighquality and vetted software release procedures. You will fill an importantrole in our Engineering Team participate in our sprint planning meetings andcontribute to technical discussions
Responsibilities
o Formulation and implementation of softwaretesting strategies
o Preparationand review of test plans
o Developautomated regression tests based on product specifications
o Performmanual testing as necessary to complement automated tests
o Reportbugs and errors to development teams
o Trackand report testing activities such as test results test case coverage defectsdiscovered and their status performance baselines etc.
o Documentimplement monitor and enforce all testing processes as per defined strategiesand methods
o Workwith crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the softwaredevelopment lifecycle
Qualifications
o Must have excellent Englishcommunication skills; both verbal and written
o Musthave a 3 years experience as a Software Engineer in Test or similar role
o Experiencein project management and Q/A methodology
o Workingknowledge of test management software such as Selenium
o Goodunderstanding of the requirements analysis definition and specificationprocess
o Experiencewith software development and/or Q/A in JavaScript/Python/Linux environments
Nicetohave
o Experience using or developing softwarefor imaging
o Experiencewith using software development tools and methods (source control unittesting bug tracking continuous integration etc.
o Goodproblemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure
o Abilityto participate in multiple projects concurrently
o Excellentcommunication skills (verbal written and presentation)
o Abilityto understand new technologies quickly is essential
o Goodinterpersonal skills and customerfocused mindset
