Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops electrical circuit designs or subsystems for products to create electrical schematics and PCB designs for embedded systems.
- Create and review schematics wiring diagrams and layouts.
- Develop closed loop control and feedback systems for AC and BLDC motors including sensor and sensor less trapezoidal motor control.
- Develop scripts in a highlevel programming language such as Python Matlab or LabVIEW for automated testing product design validation and data acquisition.
- Work in a lab environment to build and evaluate design concepts and put together prototypes for performance and functionality verification of motor driven tool platforms. This includes compiling and presenting test data to support the design team.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Develop production release part specification documents bill of material (BOM) part and product qualification tasks and support manufacturing during the first production build and test.
- Manage and execute small projects as assigned.
- Performs DFMEA analysis and hands on failure analysis.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolution of field returned equipment from customer trials.
- Execute testing in accordance with applicable requirements and developed procedures including but not limited to regulatory testing such as UL FCC electrical stress (EFT ESD etc) testing and corrections.
- Compile evaluate and report test data timely and accurately.
- Ideate and establish new test methodologies procedures and equipment.
