  • Suffolk County Council Brooks House Ipswich IP1 4HD or Riverside Lowestoft NR33 0EQ or West Suffolk House Bury St Edmunds IP33 3YU Community based
  • 14.36 per hour (plus enhanced rate at weekends of Saturdays time and one third and Sundays time and two thirds (to be reviewed)
  • As and when required no guaranteed hours predominantly evening and weekends

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Family Time Supervisor you will play a crucial role in supporting families and ensuring that children have safe and positive contact with their parents. On a typical day you might:

  • supervise and facilitate family time sessions ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • observe and assess interactions between children and their parents providing feedback and support as needed
  • maintain accurate records and reports of family time sessions
  • collaborate with social workers and other professionals to support the needs of the children and families
  • provide emotional support and guidance to parents and children during family time sessions
  • supervise family time in the community family homes contact centres or other appropriate buildings such as Family Hubs
  • required to transport children to and from family time.

Youll work a variety of hours throughout the day with an emphasis on working evenings and weekends. You will also be required to work during the school holidays and cover outofcounty contacts that require extensive driving and working beyond 5 pm and into the early evening.
