Job Description

Code Ninjas in Somerset County NJ is looking for a Code Sensei (Instructor) PT yearround. Great opportunity for local college and high school students in Computer Science. We have facilities in Bridgewater Green Brook and Hillsborough.

Code Ninjas is the nations fastestgrowing kids coding franchise with over 400 centers in the US UK and Canada. In our center kids ages 517 learn to code in a fun nonintimidating way by playing and building video games they love. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding math logic and problemsolving as they progress from white to black belt. Our core promise is Kids have fun parents see results. We believe in these words so much that its written on the walls in our center.

We are looking for a Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic energetic forwardthinking minds working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment. This individual will teach technology and coding concepts to children.

Are you experienced in working with children Do you enjoy teaching and building problemsolving skills in young engineering minds Have you mentored youth This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities:
Training go through the provided curriculum and use it to teach the class.
Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
Work with children to teach technology; keep them on task.
Provide feedback to parents after working with class
Report daily to Center Director on progress


Qualifications:
16 years old with appropriate working papers and transportation to work.
Background check required for 18 years old
Available 2 days a week of our schedule (Tues/Wed 47 Sat/Sun 102
Knowledgeable about technology.
Reliable punctual and dependable. Must have reliable transportation to work.
Keeps classroom and facility cleanliness up to standards.
Must be outgoing and have great communication skills with young children.
Experience with STEM activities (e.g. robotics or comp sci club) highly desirable
Must Have: Experience with at a minimum Scratch and some JavaScript
Preferred: Scratch JavaScript Unity. AP Comp Sci or similar course in HS completed.
Nice to have: Python Arduino App Dev. Pursuing/achieved Comp Sci or related tech degrees Roblox Minecraft and Gaming experience.


Compensation: $14 per hour and path for growth
