Job Description

Position Summary
The Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health FSPH is seeking to fill two fulltime openrank faculty positions with primary responsibilities in teaching mentoring and service. This position is expected to be onsite on the Indiana University (IU) Fort Wayne Campus in Fort Wayne Indiana. The Fairbanks School of Public Health is based in Indianapolis and also operates programs on the IU Fort Wayne Campus. The first position will support the Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management BSHSM in the Department of Health Policy and Management. The second position will support the Schools Bachelor of Science in Public Health BSPH . The second position will be in one of three FSPH departments Community and Global Health Epidemiology or Biostatistics and Health Data Science based on the candidates expertise and experience. The BSHSM position: In conjunction with the Department of Health Policy and Management and IU Fort Wayne campus leaders the position will help assure the success of BSHSM students in Fort Wayne. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching related to health administration and experience with inperson and online education. Experience as a practicing healthcare manager is desirable but not required. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management. In addition to the BSHSM program the Department houses a PhD program a Masters program in Health Administration MHA Master of Public Health concentration in Health Policy and Management and a robust research portfolio. Interested candidates will also have opportunities to contribute to these other programs and activities. The BSPH position: In conjunction with Department and IU Fort Wayne campus leaders the position will help assure the success of BSPH students in Fort Wayne. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching related to public health and experience with inperson and online education. Experience as a practitioner in public health is desirable but not required. The position will report to the Chair of the department in which the candidate is appointed based on their expertise and experience. Interested candidates will also have opportunities to contribute to other programs and activities in the Department. In addition to teaching both positions will be expected to support programs and students in one or more of the following ways: mentoring internship coordination recruitment and promotion representation at campus and community events campus engagement and networking with organizations to support internship and job placement. Both positions are nontenure track with primarily teaching mentoring and program coordination responsibilities. As such candidates will be appointed as a Lecturer or to a Clinical (open rank) faculty position depending on experience and eligibility. Candidates must have at least a Masters degree to be eligible for an appointment as Lecturer and a doctoral degree for appointment as Clinical faculty. Candidates for Clinical faculty appointments should have a track record of and preparedness to engage in publicly disseminated and peerreviewed scholarship commensurate with desired rank.
