The Role
Zhlke is internationally recognized for expertise in developing Machine Learning solutions for customers in many different industries. We are investing heavily in global growth in AI & Data.As a Principal Data Scientist at Zhlke you will play a pivotal role in leading our machine learning initiatives and providing technical leadership for our clients AI projects. You will serve as a trusted technical expert guiding development teams and clients toward successful datadriven solutions that deliver measurable business value.

How Youll Make Impact
You will take on the responsibility and technical leadership of customer projects in a wide variety of industries (defining methodological approach developing use cases with customers advising customers on technical topics as well as presenting and explaining results).
Thanks to your thought leadership and your passion for Data Science topics you will inspire our customers for the field of Machine Learning.
Supporting presales activities you will leverage your technical expertise and strong communication skills to understand client needs contributing to Zhlkes success in winning new business.
Working closely with crossfunctional teams you will help deliver scalable Data & AI solutions products and services that meet client needs. Facilitating collaboration among experts you will drive project success and deliver business value.
Analysing client use cases you will assess technical implications and enable wellinformed decisions. Planning and leading workshops will be part of your role guiding clients to ensure the right approach is applied to address their unique challenges.
You lead the development of Machine Learning solutions or develop them independently: data preparation modelling method selection evaluation implementation.
You evaluate the technical and business feasibility of solutions providing sound advice on when machine learning solutions are and are not appropriate.
You understand the complexity of operationalizing prototypes and have solved the crossfunctional issues which arise during operationalization.
You have broadened your knowledge beyond data science and are able to give guidance on data management best practices which are required to operationalize data science solutions
You bring your expertise to the Zhlke team and support our juniors in their further development.
You represent Zhlke AI & Data in external technical and business forums.
Whats Important To Us
You have the extensive number of years of professional experience in the field of Data Science/ Machine Learning. Experience implementing projects in a commercial and enterprise context is desired
Youll have experience delivering projectbased work in aconsultancy environment or leading a significant innovation/change project within acompany.
You bring solid and broad knowledge in Machine Learning indepth knowledge in multiple application domains (e.g. Natural Language Processing Computer Vision) and expert knowledge in statistics.
You are proficient in the Python Machine Learning stack (NumPy pandas scikitlearn TensorFlow/PyTorch) have extensive experience in software development and are skilled with various database systems (relational/NoSQL).
You are experienced in delivering projects in at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
During your work operationalizing data science solutions you have implemented MLOps best practices and understand their value in building sustainable solutions
You have successfully guided data science teams and can demonstrate a track record of mentoring junior data scientists.
Thanks to your open and communicative personality you feel comfortable in interdisciplinary teams and can work in a customeroriented way from the idea to the successful implementation of a solution.
You have a Masters degree in a STEM subject or a comparable education. A PhD in a machine learning related field is highly desired.
