The ESSM Japan Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of ESSM business with Japan. In this capacity you will lead a world class team to deliver the ESSM capability and all associated support and services to the Japanese Self Defense Force and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation customers. Current contracted scope includes Block 1 sustainment and sparing activities production support and newly awarded Block 2 licensed production. As the owner of Profit and Loss (P&L) for this business line; reporting to the Director ESSM Programs; you will have significant decision making and directional authority and be accountable for delivering against commitments and driving business growth through development and delivery of innovative products and services.

** This position will be onsite at our Tucson AZ site.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute against short and longterm business strategies for ESSM in Japan.
  • Manage a distributed team including at multiple Raytheon facilities and in Japan to successfully establish ESSM Block 2 licensed production in MELCO facilities in Japan.
  • Establish lead and manage the daytoday program cadence (battle rhythm) of ESSM Japan programs i.e. agile customer status metrics and continuous improvement towards achieving predictive results with specific focus on capability delivery.
  • Achieve all business and customer commitments to include achieving all financial metrics.
  • Ensure alignment integration and open/frequent communication among Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Fulfilling contractual requirements with baseline plan and recovery approaches.
  • Lead capture efforts for all future ESSM business in Japan to include both development and production efforts.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 domestic and international

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Prior Program/Project Management experience
  • Prior Leadership/Management experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams to execute against contracted scope while achieving budget and schedule expectations
  • Ability to brief customers on program status/objectives
  • Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Proven ability to understand complex systems and processes
  • Proven leadership experience managing a large team to deliver results.
  • Experience operating preferably leading in an Agile environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IPDS EVMS IMS Risk & Opportunity Management program planning budgeting and tracking to cost and schedule.
  • Experience in management of international programs including Solid knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and RTX Export and Import processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • CORE Certified EVMS certified PM6 Certified
  • Subcontract Management Program Management or Integrated Product Team experience
  • Ability to manage varied tasks requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines in a fastpaced dynamic environment with timecritical requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of customer relationship management

    The salary range for this role is 147000 USD 295000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
