Family Treatment Services (FTS) provides a puuhonua designed for women and children on their journey toward living a life free of substance use and violence. We provide gender responsive residential and outpatient treatment infant mental health and family services and supportive housing that helps women create healthy supportive relationships in their lives and set them on the path toward achieving their selfdirected goals.

Weare looking for a Clinical Operations Director who will join our oneofakind continuum of treatment and housing services developed for Hawaiis women and children in recovery. Are you that individual

This is a rewarding position that requires proven handson leadership skills and successful team building skills within a diverse ethnic and multiprofessional team. Having tried and true organizational and time management tools to manage the daytoday operations of 24/7 programs is necessary. Work experience and knowledge of gender and trauma responsive interventions for pregnant and parenting women and their children are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an effective leader to accomplishing the agencys objectives according to established values mission and vision and participates in the ATSFTS Executive Committee in this manner.
  • Directs the operations of all clinical programs which includes:
    • Recruitment training supervision and evaluation of all department heads of FTS clinical programs.
    • Ongoing supervision to program clinical leadership to ensure high quality service delivery in congruence with the FTS practices policies and procedures.
    • Overseeing the updates and implementation of clinical policies procedures and practices (including curriculum) that comply with funding source specifications accreditation and other applicable regulatory agencies.
    • Data driven program development and improvement through review of program reports program objectives and client outcome measurements.
    • Coordination implementation evaluation and reporting of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities including quarterly quality record reviews and client surveys through Program Management team meetings and conformance with all licensing and accreditation requirements (CARF and State of Hawaii).
    • Cochairing the Program Management Team meetings with the Executive Director
    • Serving as the FTS training coordinator develops staff training opportunities based upon best practices and quality improvement standards that are identified through the CQI processes (i.e. record auditing incident reporting).
  • Serves as the agency Privacy Officer to ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements and 42 CFR standards when protected health information is requested by clients client family members or collateral contacts.
  • Participates in writing summary reports of clinical program progress as part of contract quarterly and annual reports.
  • Serves as the FTS electronic health records administrator with a working knowledge of all electronic databases used to document and bill for the provision of billable treatment services and that comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR requirements.
  • Maintains effective relationships with funders and other community service providers.
  • Maintains good professional and ethical standing with own professional licensing and certification boards.

Qualifications:

A masters degree in a behavioral health discipline and certification by the State of Hawaii as a substance use counselor are required. Working knowledge of continuum of care services including assessment residential and outpatient treatment case management family treatment and recovery housing. Knowledge of electronic health records is needed. Knowledge of gender responsive treatment infant mental health and family treatment best practices are needed. A minimum of five years clinical experience in program management and clinical supervision preferred. Clinical license for professional counseling psychology social work or in process of obtaining licensure is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proven report and grant writing skills required. Personal vehicle and valid Hawaii State driver license required.
