Job Description
The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for parttime Faculty Associate positions foracademic year.
The successful candidate(s) will teach inperson or online courses prepare course materials evaluate student work and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are 12 fall or spring session(s) nonbenefitseligible and not to exceed .40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs funding and sufficient enrollment. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple nonbenefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
The candidate must contribute to the Department of Management & Entrepreneurships mission in the area of teaching and must be able and willing to teach and bring their legal experience to undergraduate business students. Responsibilities include creating a supportive learning environment delivering lectures creating and administering exams grading and posting grades.
The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship delivers degree programs at the B.A. B.S. and PhD. levels. The departments fulltime faculty consists of 12 professors 8 associate professors 6 assistant professors 13 clinical faculty 2 professors of practice and 7 teaching professors. Required Qualifications
1 A Juris Doctorate degree required by the beginning of the appointment 2 At least five 5 years of experience practicing business law; and 3 Potential for teaching excellence at the undergraduate level as evidenced by organization and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
1 Potential for or demonstrated excellence in teaching business law courses to undergraduate business law students; 2 Significant service and professional contributions to the business and law profession; 3 Experience with training or other relevant teaching experience.
