Job Description
Job Summary:
This role is onsite in Niceville Florida.
FLIR is looking for an energetic selfstarter to design and develop embedded and application software on a fulltime basis to support stateoftheart infrared camera and data acquisition systems.
DetailedDescription:
Plans designs develops and tests software/firmware computer programs for Science and Research applications. Using current programming language and technologies writes code completes programming and performs testing and debugging of software systems. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Tracks and manages product development tasks and projects.
Requirements:
Working experience with the following is required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science
At least 5 years of handson programming experience
Languages: C and C
Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
Successful candidates will also possess good communication skills (verbal and written) have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be highly selfmotivated including having the ability to work in a fastpaced hightech product development environment.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Languages: C C C# MatLab LabView Python
Infrared cameras
Image acquisition and processing
Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
Qualcomm and NXP embedded platforms
Microchip PIC Microcontrollers (MPLAB IDE)
Apple iOS and Android development platform(s)
Linux desktop and/or embedded development platform(s)
Source control (Perforce preferred)
AGILE software development methodology
