Job Purpose Description
Responsible for Shift wise Preventive Maintenance/ Breakdown Maintenance/ upkeeping/ maintaining all utility and plant machines including Melting and Homogenizing Furnace.
Job Context
Hindalco Almex Aerospace Limited is first Industry in India to produce super large diameter aerospace Aluminium Alloy Billets / Slabs. These will be used for aerospace industries in the country and abroad. It is a Joint Venture company of Hindalco and Almex USA.
Job Challenges:
Hindalco Almex Aerospace Limited has current aluminum billet/ Slab capacity of 12000 MTPA in the first phase of commissioning. The capacity shall eventually increase to 46000 MTPA by year 2010. Major Challenges:
1. Propane fired Furnace Maintenance (PLC and VFD).
2. Billet Turning Lathe Machine (CNC and VFD)
3. Billet Casting Machine (Critical and Specific)
4. Critical Parameters noting monitoring recording and correcting if found deviation s inform to Shift In charges Managers.
Key Result Area/ Accountabilities:

Supporting Actions
Equipment Maintenance (Shift)
Ensure all the equipment are in working condition. Attending PM and Breakdown Maintenance. Identifying the root cause.
Safety
Maintaining/ following procedure for all Safety/ Isolation/ Lockout/ Tagout/ Work Permit System time to time.
Documentation
Filling up Preventive Maintenance Checklist Daily recording of Critical parameters Furnace data
System Management
Implementation of companywide activities i.e. Safety AS9100 ISO 17025 ISO 45001 & 14001 etc.
Supervisors to implement companywide activities e.g.
ISO Safety etc. and regular follow up. Ensure
SOPs are followed at work place.
