We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the Strategic Insights team within Engineering building and supporting data pipelines that drive analytics for both internal teams and Loopios customers. This role focuses on empowering customers with actionable insights to improve proposal quality win rates and team productivity while enhancing dashboard usability and integrating tailored recommendations. Youll play a key role in shaping Loopios data infrastructure enabling datadriven decisionmaking analysis and feature development in a dynamic and evolving technology landscape.
You will partner closely with ML Engineers Software Developers and Data Scientists Product Managers and other business stakeholders to help us take Loopios data value to the next level.
This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada the UK and India. To accommodate the time zone differences you will be expected to work from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST.
What Youll Be Doing
Scalable Data Platforms & ETL Pipelines: Design build and optimize data pipelines to support highscale data ingestion transformation and storage. Develop efficient ETL workflows using Databricks Redshift and AWS cloud technologies.
Data Engineering for ML & Analytics: Develop and maintain a feature store to support predictive models AIdriven insights and data science applications. Enable seamless integration of structured (RDS MySQL) and unstructured (clickstream logs) data into the data lake / data warehouse / data mart layers.
Automation & Orchestration: Build robust automation tooling for data orchestration testing monitoring and administration. Leverage workflow orchestration tools (Airflow Databricks Workflows) to streamline data operations.
Cloud & Big Data Infrastructure: Architect scalable data solutions leveraging AWS services (S3 Redshift Lambda RDS DMS) and distributed computing frameworks (Spark Presto). Optimize query performance and ensure reliability in highvolume environments.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Partner with Data Scientists ML Engineers and business stakeholders to create AIpowered insights drive product improvements and enable datadriven decisionmaking.
What Youll Bring to the Team
Data Engineering & Cloud Expertise: 5 years of experience in data engineering with handson experience in ETL data warehousing and cloudbased data platforms. Strong proficiency in AWS (S3 RDS Redshift Glue).
Advanced DB engines expertise & Data Processing: Deep understanding of database design query optimization and data modeling. Expertise in distributed data processing frameworks (Spark Databricks Presto).
Software Development & Orchestration: Strong Python and PySpark development skills. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and data workflow automation (Airflow Databricks Jobs).
Scalable Systems & Performance Tuning: Proven ability to build and optimize largescale data infrastructure ensuring lowlatency access efficient storage and high reliability.
Leadership & Collaboration: Strong problemsolving skills ability to work in fastpaced environments and experience mentoring engineers or driving technical initiatives.
