Who are we looking for
GHD has an opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager/Engineer/Geologist working in our Atlanta GA (Buford) office. This position is an integral part of our environmental services group and requires a diverse array of skills and abilities to provide technical management of environmental assessment remediation compliance or due diligence projects to support the growth of the practice and to accomplish the objectives of the team. This position will work directly with senior management.
In this role you will use your strong technical background in environmental assessment remediation compliance and/or due diligence to support and manage GHDs existing environmental projects in Georgia and surrounding states in the southeast.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Projectcoordinationmanagementandleadershipofvariousenvironmentalassessmentremediation and/or compliance projects including maintenance of project scope schedule budget and quality through the coordination of project teams and via direct client communication
- Participateinandleadprojectteamsintheplanningdesignandexecutionofvariousenvironmental compliance due diligence assessment and/or remedial programs
- Assessment and Remediation Track: Planning and implementation of environmental field work such as sample/data collection monitoring well installation groundwater monitoring remediation system operation&maintenanceremedialactionactivitiesandoversightofcontractorsandfieldstaffwhen required.
- EnvironmentalComplianceTrack:Lead/supportenvironmentalcomplianceprojects
- SupportexistingGHDclientswiththeimplementation ofcosteffectiveandinnovativesolutionsto address their environmental liabilities and concerns
- Identifyandsupportbusiness developmentclientexpansionandproposaldevelopmentactivitiesfor GHDs environmental practice based in Atlanta Georgia
- SupportGHDsdevelopmentofenvironmentalprojectsinthepublicandprivatesectorthroughoutthe southeastern US
- Providementoringtoentrylevelandjuniorenvironmentalprofessionalstosupportthedevelopment of the teams technical skills
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelorsand/orMasters degreeinEnvironmentalChemicalorCivilEngineeringGeologyora related field of study required
- Professionallicensure(PEPG)preferred
- 5 to 10 years of progressive environmental project experience including the coordination and managementofprojectsconsistingofsiteinvestigationremediationandmonitoringand/orgeneral environmental compliance
- AssessmentandRemediationTrack:
- Experiencecompletingmultimediasiteinvestigationandremediationtasks
- ExperienceorinterestinthepreparationoftechnicalreportsincludingSiteInvestigationReports Annual Monitoring Reports Feasibility Studies and Remedial Action Plans.
- Directsitecleanupandremediationexperience(designandimplementation)isaplusand differentiator
- EnvironmentalComplianceTrack:
- Experience with permit application development (air stormwater wastewater etc. environmentalplandevelopmentsuchasSpillPreventionControlandCountermeasure(SPCC) Plans Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans (HWCPs) and environmental compliance reporting such as air emissions reporting hazardous waste generator reporting and Emergency Planning Community RighttoKnow Act (EPCRA) reporting (i.e. Tier II and Form R)
- Experiencewithenvironmentalduediligence(PhaseIESAs)isaplus
- AbilityandwillingnesstooccasionallytravelthroughoutGAALSCandNCtoundertakefieldwork when needed (estimated up to 10 to 15 of the time) potentially on short notice
- Experienceinabusinessdevelopmentrolethatincludedleadgenerationnetworkingnewclient developmentandexpansionofportfolioswithexistingclients isaplusandastrongdifferentiator
