Assistant Professor: Annual Minimum Salary$158300Annual Maximum Salary$190000 for Full Time Status
Associate Professor: Annual Minimum Salary$182100Annual Maximum Salary$218500 for Full Time StatusProfessor: Annual Minimum Salary$209400Annual Maximum Salary$301550 for Full Time StatusSalary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Prorated based on hours/week (FTE).Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) 3 nonprofit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Doctor of Physical Therapy Master of Arts in Medical Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.
PNWU is located in Yakima WA a city of approximately 95000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Dentistry Oral Radiology will provide clinical and classroom instruction in oral radiology to predoctoral dental students on our main campus in Yakima and at our communitybased clinics in Yakima Kennewick and Tacoma Washington. Academic rank will be awarded based on clinical and academic experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides classroom simulation and clinical instruction in oral radiology
Provide service to the school and university through participation on committees etc.
Perform research/scholarly activity
Performs other related duties as assigned and based on school needs
Education:
Required: DMD/DDS
Experience:
Required: Minimum 3 years of clinical practice or teaching experience
Required: Specialty Certification in oral radiology from a CODAaccredited program
Required: Board certification in oral radiology is desired
Preferred: Academic/clinical teaching experience
Required: Licensure and specialty certification in oral radiology in Washington State
Preferred: Clinical skills experience
Desired Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to exhibit strong collaborative skills to employ policies diligently and implement the dental schools mission and vision; strong organization interpersonal and planning skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team and flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances; ability to problem solve by analyzing issues creating action plans and following through resolution
