Job Description

What Youll Be Doing:

Maintain salesactivities relating to developing customer relationships and monitoring customer satisfaction. Improve response times to customers and participate in customer visits produce quotations manage pricing and support sales in various programs and projects to sell products and services. Within markets assigned collaborate with appropriate resources i.e. other departments internal and external business partners and collaboration with sister companies to progress the selling processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.

  • Coordinate sales activities for assigned customers. Communicate on behalf of the customers by conveying the general spirit momentum of customers.
    • Reporting forecast information from gathering information from sales force.
    • Assist in set up of customer visits and travel to customer sites for meetings and sales calls as required.
  • Manage and implement customer pricing
    • Negotiating quarterly pricing and as part of quote followup.
    • Responsible for quoting of existing business (quarterly pricing and projects).
    • Establish / maintain market pricing database.
  • Produce quotations for existing business and disseminate key quotations to sales engineers field sales reps and manager.
    • Evaluate inquires and information from estimates to develop cost effective profitable solutions
    • Initiate request for estimates (RFE) and Material requests based on input from self and Sales Engineers.
  • Support customer service and production planning with communicating delivery requirements and representing customer requirements issues and concerns into the planning process.
    • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and coordinate RFC resources to resolve customer complaints
    • Effectively manage customer relationships
  • Initiate New Product Meeting Information.
    • Represent sales as project launch liaison and provide project updates to Sales Engineers
  • Initiate and track Customer Satisfaction Surveys at the plant level with required documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Sales Action Plans
  • Attend trade shows as needed.
  • Travels as needed

Schedule:This position will primarily workeight or more hours per day five days per week based on business needs and will primarily be daytime hours but may occasionally work or travel nights and weekends for events and special projects.

This is an onsite remoteflexible position.


Qualifications

  • Experience in sales customer interaction experience or equivalent years of customer interaction and manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelors degree or 57 years of equivalent experience/training
  • Proficient with computers including strong skills in Microsoft office products
  • Detailoriented with ability to utilize data and tools to quote and estimate to customers.
  • Ability travel domestically and/or internationally.
  • US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
  • Ability to work onsite and a reasonable commute to Shelbyville KY

Preferred:

  • Experience in the metal manufacturing industry working in production planning sales customer service estimating or quoting roles.
  • Familiarity with or knowledge of metals roll forming or metal forming processes.
  • Experience with ERP and/or sales software tools
  • Experience selling specialized/custom products
  • Degree in Engineering or Masters degree
