Job Description

A substitute nurse will manage the health office at a school when the nurse is unavailable; e.g. because of illness personal leave or other reasons. A substitute nurse will ensure the health and safety of students during the school day. Responsibilities will include medical management diabetic management seizure prophylaxis and gtube feeds as well as assessments for routine sick visits throughout the school day. A substitute nurse may also be asked to cover a field trip when student(s) requiring medical intervention are off site for experiential learning with their class or school.
