Job Title:Manager ERP Implementations for EMCOR Construction Services

Location: McLean VA

Reports to: Director of ERP Implementations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Our operating companies are mechanical and commercial electrical contractors with expertise that includes virtually all U.S. data center hightech commercial healthcare institutional education hospitality manufacturing transportation and water and wastewater markets. The ECS headquarters team located in McLean VA provides key support for its electrical and mechanical companies including finance and accounting human resources legal national purchasing and information technology.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager ERP Implementations is responsible for planning directing and coordinating activities related to the ERP Implementations. Systems supported include primarily Vista applications and other business systems. Currently our ECS team supports 17 Vista companies who have already implemented the software and we have 6 implementations in process or planned in the future. This position would primarily be dedicated to leading new implementation planning training and end user support but would also assist as needed with projects related to support of our broader Vista community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties likely will be assigned.

  • Drive the implementation projects overall flow effectively from inception to completion.
  • Plan schedule or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
  • Manage implementation team to prioritize and assign tasks monitor progress and mentor team to continue to build knowledge and provide growth opportunities
  • Confer with supervisory personnel operating company leadership support team or consultants to discuss and resolve matters such as work processes complaints or software problems.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates progress reports or cost tracking reports.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with EMCOR SOP and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and update project schedule showing completion golive schedule and resource requirements.
  • Host and attend all necessary meetings with both internal and external entities to review scheduling and delivery work plans job progress manpower and solutions to setbacks.
  • Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the ERP Implementation Manager & Operating Company CEO with recommendation for resolution.
  • Comply with all Company operating policies procedures and safety programs as established.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives.
  • Respond to end user requests for assistance; troubleshoot reported issues and work closely with the Application Administrator using ticketing system.
  • Develop and document business technical system and application processes functions and procedures.
  • Manage additional ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as requested; may require analysis of financial and other reports report preparation and other documentation.
  • Assist end users with evaluating options for process improvement through utilization of Vista tools and technology
  • Support end user training and rollout of software best practices
  • Work with team to track progress and organize implementation project plan steps to make sure that critical path items are being properly prioritized and schedule is maintained

  • Knowledgeable of the construction phase of capital projects life cycle (concept to design and build through operations and maintenance).
  • Understanding of project accounting processes and principles in a construction environment.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and selfdirection; work independently with limited supervision exercise initiative within established procedural guidelines and organize and prioritize work to meet established deadlines.
  • Have exceptional communication skills written and; oral capable of leading meetings in a professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and interpret communication styles of diverse team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Be a proactive agent for change and competently follow through on initiatives to conclusion.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more 5 years of experience in construction or related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Vista software including Vista Web required
  • Lead role in an ERP implementation (accounting or operations).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Excel.

Characteristics of work experience should demonstrate a background with a bias for action management of complex multiple tasks and experience working in a multidisciplined environment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
