Position Summary:
Registered nurse who provides clinical and staff development expertise in a designated specialty area as an educator leader consultant facilitator change agent and researcher. Supports the organization in the pursuit of improved nursing practice provision of quality patient care and improved patient outcomes by helping to ensure clinical competence of nursing staff and to foster the delivery of evidencebased nursing practice.
The Registered Nurse in this position will educate new employees in Womens Services as well as train employees for required certifications such as NRP STABLE fetal monitoring etc. The position has a focus on teaching and training employees with no prior experience in Womens Health Labor & Delivery and Postpartum and will help to ensure successful onboarding. This role will also help to educate nurses in Emergency Services to competently handle the delivery of a newborn in the Emergency Department and will hold annual drills at each Covenant Health facility related to a normal delivery postpartum hemorrhage and hypertension.

Minimum Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from approved school of nursing preferred or Bachelor of Science (BA) in nursing or healthcare related field.
Minimum Experience:
Five 5 years experience in designated specialty area.Prior educator experience and 5 years Acute Care experience preferred.
Licensure Requirements:
Must have and maintain current registration in the State of Tennessee and valid TN nursing license. Certification in area of specialty required or must attain within 2 years of hire into the job.RN License
