Job Summary
This position seeks a detailoriented Research Development Associate. They will play a key role in supporting multiple research initiatives including medical device development/testing laboratory and related data management animal procedures surgical procedures biofilm growth tissue and blood collection and microbiological quantification. This position supports a wide range of strategic proactive and capacity building activities designed to enable and enhance research and may include strategic research advancement communication of research and research opportunities enhancement of collaboration and team science and proposal development.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Assist with animal procedures including surgery blood draws following strict protocols and ensuring animal welfare in accordance with IACUC and ACURO guidelines. Collect dissect and prepare animal tissues for histological processing. Utilize a variety of histological techniques including fixation dehydration embedding sectioning staining and mounting of tissues. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory space ensuring proper handling and disposal of biological materials. Meticulously document procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records. Calibrate and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Minimum Qualifications
