Job Summary:
Join the Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Womans Hospital where we uniquely focus on providing exceptional healthcare for women.
Womans Hospital seeks a full time Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our well established group of 6 Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to expand the team in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Womans Maternal Fetal Medicine provides expert care for high risk pregnancies. Applicants should have expertise in clinical high risk obstetrical care diagnostic obstetrical ultrasonography and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures. Call rotation required: 1:6 coverage on nights and weekends.
Our Maternal Fetal Medicine team of experts in HighRisk Pregnancy care and treatment works closely with the obstetrician to provide total obstetrical care for all types of pregnancy complications. Our team provides outpatient clinic services inpatient consultations community care and outreach via satellite clinics specializing in chronic medical conditions such as diabetes or hypertension or other high risk pregnancy issues such as:
- Abnormal screening results
- Multiple birth pregnancy
- Fetal congenital anomalies
- Prior pregnancy complications
- Placenta previa
- Vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC)
- Morbidly adherent placenta (MAP)
