Job Description
Per Diem Security Officer Special Events and Extra Coverage
Pay: $18.90 per hour to start
Schedule Overview: 16 24 Hours Per Week assisting with site coverage for multiple client sites travel ranges from West Haven and Hamden. Must have availability for at least two shifts and weekends 1st/2nd 1st/3rd 2nd/3rd). Shifts range from 8am4pm 4pm12am 12am8am.
Qualifications:
Active Connecticut State Guard Card
Active Connecticut State Drivers License Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle History
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of Security Experience preferred Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substitute
Calm polite and professional demeanor.
Reliable and selfmotivated.
High level customer service
University Patrol officers are expected to be able to have bike riding capability stand for prolonged periods walk long distances outdoors 6 miles each shift) be comfortable with incident report writing respond to calls and interact with the campus community. If you have the ability to remain vigilant withstand prolonged standing and great customer service skills you are a great fit for this role. Some events are outdoors exposure to inclement weather is a possibility.

Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a clients employees and customers.
