JOB SUMMARY:
This position will require frequent travel to Ohio CAT and customer locations. A willingness to study and learn new skills and technical information related to the job is required. Field Servicemen troubleshoot and safely repair general heavy equipment drivetrain components electrical and hydraulic systems and standard machine repairs. You will work from an Ohio CAT service truck in the natural elements.
COMPETENCIES:
- General technical service skills mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or heavy equipment and strong DC electrical and machine electronic systems knowledgeare required.
- Must demonstrate ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete manufacturers updates.
- Must be organized selfmotivated and able to work without direct supervisionexcellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong computer and software skills are .
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate minimum College and continued education in a technical field a plus. Experience related to construction or heavy equipment service and repair is required.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License with an acceptable driving record following Ohio CAT standards 4 or fewer moving violation points).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs standing sitting and climbing into machines
Dexterity Normal
Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands wrists and fingers.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
