Job Description
Senior Software Engineer
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States fulltime. We are not able to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time.
Flexible location: work where you want to either remotely across the U.S. or from our HQ in NYC

Key Responsibilities
Design develop and test performance maintainable and secure code that is high quality always seeking to leave things better than when you arrived
Architect solutions in the following areas: RESTful apis microservices serverless computing using relational and nonrelational data sets
Collaborate with our UX and Curriculum teams to most effectively understand and meet the needs of our teachers and students
Stay current with adhere to and advocate for best practices as you collaborate with teammates
Seek constant improvement for yourself the team and TeachTown
Review solution designs and perform code reviews of your peers
Leverage diverse experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Provide mentorship as a subject matter expert to junior team members
Required Education and Experience:
5 years of experience with technologies in our stack:
Angular or other SPA frameworks like React or Vue
HTML
CSS
TypeScript
C# or comparable OO language
.NET core
Relational Databases
Public Cloud Environment like AWS Azure or GCP
5 years of experience working in an Agile team environment
Thorough knowledge of OO design and SOLID design principles
Experience working with serverless platforms using containerization
Demonstrated experience with debugging performance profiling and optimization
Demonstrated ability to to work independently effectively and productively in a remote work environment
Experience in a selfdirected environment driving work to completion while being given a wide degree of creativity and latitude
Bachelors degree or Masters degrees in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Experience:
Amazon Web Services
Angular
Tailwind
Experience building iOS native or hybrid web apps (Ionic Capacitor etc)
