Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Department: Maintenance/Operations
Reports To: Manufacturing Director
Wm T Burnett is looking for a Maintenance Planner for our technical foaming plant in Jessup MD. This role will be responsible for developing coordinating and executing maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment reliability and performance. This role involves working closely with maintenance teams production staff and engineering departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizing the companys computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems.
Prioritize maintenance activities based on production needs equipment criticality and resource availability.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize disruption during maintenance activities.
Generate and manage work orders in a CMMS.
Ensure all work orders are detailed including scope required materials labor and safety considerations.
Track work order completion and analyze metrics for continuous improvement.
Identify and allocate necessary resources (labor materials tools) for scheduled maintenance tasks.
Maintain and track spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.
Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify trends and develop maintenance strategies.
Partner with crossfunctional teams including operations engineering and safety to ensure maintenance plans align with production goals.
Conduct regular meetings with maintenance and operations staff to review schedules discuss challenges and share updates.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work performed labor hours and material usage.
Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance including equipment uptime/downtime maintenance costs and backlog status.
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.
Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Technology or a related field (preferred).
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification a plus.
Minimum of 37 years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
