Job Description:
What will you work on
The Internal Auditor will help develop and deliver on a global internal audit plan for the company as well as support the certification of internal controls over financial reporting (NI 52109 at Spin Master.
How will you create impact
- Contribute to the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting annual risk assessment scoping and planning exercise;
- Perform financial operational or compliance audits using a riskbased methodology to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the programs and controls established to mitigate risks;
- Effectively design and perform audit tests of controls;
- Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of information that supports the controls;
- Assist in identifying reporting and tracking deficiencies opportunities for improvement and related action plans
- Identify document and communicate to respective process owners the areas of process improvements and work collaboratively with process owners to support those improvements;
- Prepares audits reports which include the development of clear constructive and actionable recommendations to address risks identified.
What are your skills and experience
- A professional designation in the area (CPA CA or CPA CMA CIA or CISA) or pursing an audit designation is a plus.
- SAP Experience is an asset.
- A strong knowledge of internal auditing and control standards.
- Knowledge of COSO/COBIT and riskbased audit methodology.
- Highly developed judgment and problemsolving skills to analyze risks and assist with formulating solutions.
