Title: Information Technology Intern
Reports To: Director of IT Services
Summary of Position: Assist in supporting Information Technology Department

Your Impact:
In this role youll be a key player to ensuring the security and efficiency of our technology operations. Youll get direct handson experience with educating and training endusers on best practices using industry leading software like Adobe Egnyte Autodesk etc. Your involvement in preparing network devices troubleshooting hardware and software and supporting system upgrades will directly contribute to the smooth running of our field operations and develop your skills in the field of networking. With your passion for cybersecurity and technology youll play a pivotal role in securing a safe and productive environment for our team and clients alike.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the annual enduser security best practices training
Assist with entrylevel Helpdesk support needs
Managing IT equipment inventory and asset database
Preparing network devices for deployment at construction job sites
Assist in the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of enduser workstation hardware software and peripheral devices at Corporate HQ and at job sites
Assist in equipment hardware and software upgrades
Familiarity with cyber security best practices and implementation
Education of endusers on cyber security policies and best practices
Skills/Qualifications:
Current student in an accredited university working towards a technical degree
Working technical knowledge of Microsoft and Office platform
Understanding of TCP/IP routing/switching at Layer 2 and 3 along with related protocols
General Network architecture best practices
Knowledge of segmented networks (vlan tagging)
VPN Protocols (IPsec and Wireguard)
Knowledge of WiFi systems
o Authentication and connection debugging
o Roaming optimization
o Coverage estimation
Handson hardware & troubleshooting experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to present ideas in userfriendly language
Highly selfmotivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment
Strong customer service orientation
Lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds
Experience working in a teamoriented collaborative environment
Position Status: Summer intern regular business hours 40hours a week) nonexempt
Compensation: $20 $28/hour depending on years of experience
