Responsibilities
The Real Estate Litigation team deliver a highquality legal service. The primary focus of the role will be on commercial property telecoms and real property issues.
You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent professional development opportunities. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.
The department acts for a broad range of clients including:
- Commercial landlords and some tenants.
- Investors and Developers.
- The living sector investors and landlords including social housing providers and ground rent funds
- Private individuals
Essential & Desirable Criteria
Experience of a range of commercial L&T living sector and real propertyissues is sought including some or all of the following:
- Commercial and residential landlord and tenant including
- 1954 Act renewals (contested and uncontested)
- rent recovery and forfeiture
- disrepair
- tenant insolvency
- service charges
- alienation
- Real property disputes
- rights of light
- nuisance
- restrictive covenants
- easements
- Telecoms (landowners)
Fire safety issues (repairing and other obligations fire safety legislation service charge issues)
There are opportunities for involvement in other areas such as:
- Disputes relating to sale and purchase development agreement forward funding and agreements for lease
- Planning disputes
- Complex transactional support
