Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the optical and RF simulation of PAM4 optical transceivers for datacenter AI/ML HPC applications
- Perform E2E (endtoend) link simulation of optical transceiver designs involving various highspeed SerDes DSP block PCB design optical transmitter/receiver optical fiber characteristics
- Define and optimize the electrical/optical architecture interface and performance of optical transceivers meeting customers requirements
Education & Experience
B.S. with minimum 5 years of related experience up to 15 years M.S./Ph.D. preferred positions open for Senior Engineer to Technical Director
- Extensive highspeed RF/optical simulation and analysis experience
- Strong knowledge and background in highspeed RF design photonics and optoelectronics
- Expertise on highspeed optoelectronic and RF components designs specifications characterization performance and qualification
- Solid foundation of understanding for highspeed optical transceivers:
- Highspeed signal/power integrity (SI/PI)
- Optomechanical design
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical problemsolving skills for product design and debug
- Handson technical background in PAM4 optical transceiver designs EML Silicon Photonics DSP driver TIA PCB/PCBA pluggable and copackaged optics electrical and optical packaging
- Background on highdensity multiplelayer PCB designs
Working Conditions
- May require occasional offsite meetings or travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to attend scheduled training follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.
