Are you a professional that wants to be responsible for leading strategic and legal initiatives in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) World Area partnering with regional Senior Management on regional strategies and their implementation we have an outstanding opportunity for you with Emersons Global Enterprise Legal Team. As Senior Contracts Specialist you will provide salesrelated Contract Services to MEA World Area with minimal levels of supervision. In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Reviewsdrafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standardswithout supervision including in:
    • Responding within established guidelines to customers RFP/RFQs vendor qualification documents and contractualrequests;
    • Drafting and negotiating with customersappropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of theparties;
  • Takes the Contracts Lead role on
    • Complex international and multiBU projectcontracts;
    • Complex frame agreements (multiBU &WA);
  • Acts as Global World Area or BU Contracts Lead for Global StrategicAccounts;
  • Interfaces with customers members of the legal team and otherEmersonstakeholders to bring deals toclosure;
  • Analyses business financial and legalrisks;
  • Researches information on existing agreements and contractual programsassisting with analysis and compiling data for reports;
  • Provides contractrelated guidance to Sales ProjectManagement and otherstakeholders;
  • Participates in the approval process toassist business owners in making informed decisions and secureappropriateapprovals;
  • Develops and communicates creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiationpoints;
  • Assists in the mentoring and training of Contracts Traineesand Contracts Negotiators

For This Role You Will Need:

  • 5 years of work experience in a contractsrelated role
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Completion ofIACCMAdvancedContract and Commercial Management (CCM)Practitioner andIACCM Oil & Gas Contracting in Practice strongly preferred
  • IntermediateMS Office skills
  • Excellent oral and writtenEnglishand Frenchlanguage skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Extensive knowledge ofContract law & principles
    • Commercial provisions such as warranty liquidated damages/penalties paymentand freight terms documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties
