Your Main Objective:
Leidos is looking for a System Administrator to join a team of similar individuals who work alongside the government on a 24x7 desk to support field sites.
The successful candidate will be a part of a team that provides support to multiple organizations from a central location with no travel requirements. This is an exciting position that supports a mission critical program with high visibility and a proven track record.
What Sets You Apart:
Qualifications: Five 5 years experience as an SA on programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
System Administrator SHIFT (SAS) Level 1
This is a NIGHT FLOATER position. The normal schedule is 7 pm 5 am Monday Thursday. The floating occurs when this role covers other shifts if coworkers are on leave. For example most other roles work 12hour night shifts from 5 pm to 5 am. Therefore this floater position might work a 12hour shift on a Friday night from 5 pm 5 am if someone is sick or on leave.
Tasking includes but not limited to:
Provide support for implementation troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Provide support to IT systems including daytoday operations monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices etc.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification diagnosis and resolution of problems
Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning
Monitor and notify according to procedures. Monitor screens and site data for issues.
The candidate must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications:
Microsoft Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
CompTIA Linux
Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) level 1 or higher
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification
Or equivalent approved by customer.
TS/SCI w/Polygraph is required
