Type of Opportunity: Part Time 0.5 FTE/20 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 2 10hour shifts in Days Nights or Swings

Shift Differentials

  • $2.00/hr Ambulance Service Differential earned on all hours worked.
  • $5.00/hr Night Differential earned on eligible night hours stacks on base rate.
  • $3.00/hr Weekend Differential earned on eligible weekend hours stacks on base rate.
  • $1.00/hr ILSC Diff earned when utilizing the ILSC skill stacks on base rate (requires in house ILSCardiac certification completion and for EMTIntermediates only)

This position is eligible for Sign On Bonuses for EMTIntermediates only.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current New Mexico drivers license is required (outofstate candidates have 30 days from date of hire to obtain) without relevant restrictions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policy
  • Must possess and maintain a State of New Mexico EMTBasic or EMTIntermediate license
  • Must maintain all required certifications (i.e. BLS DOT certification)
  • Must be up to date withFEMAcourses
  • Ability to perform CPR and all skills associated with EMTIntermediate licensure
  • 12 years of EMT experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Documents and maintains accurate medical records for patient encounters through use of ImageTrend Elite.
  • Provides prehospital 911 emergency care and/or Interfacility transportation for injured and/or ill patients.
  • Performs in scope ILS interventions such as medication administration intravenous therapy and advanced airways.
  • Attendance at departmental staff meetings and/or inservice educational programs while keeping current with developments in the field.
  • Proactively utilizes best practices to minimize response and drop times.
  • Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner consistent with EVOC.
