About the Therapeutic Home Based Care (THBC) Model
The THBC model is designed to support children this type of specialised foster care is known in the sector as Therapeutic Home Based Care (THBC). It involves oneonone home based care for children and young people who have complex care needs by providing them with stable nurturing and therapeutic home environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acceptance and Support: Embrace the strengths and needs of children and young people ensuring they receive the clinical and therapeutic support they require.
- Caring Capability: Consistently meet the care needs of children with high and complex needs participating in essential training programs to enhance your skills.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in Care Team Meetings working under the supervision of a Therapeutic Specialist to implement therapeutic strategies.
- Higher Communication Standards: Engage in frequent and transparent communication with the care team providing regular updates and receiving guidance.
- Home Support: Welcome increased support and guidance within your home to facilitate therapeutic care planning.
- Reflective Learning: Participate in ongoing accredited training and reflective practice to continually develop your skills and understanding.

- Generous taxfree allowance base of $80000 reflecting the demanding needs of the children and young people.
