Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar related or a logical assignment to this classification. 1.Teach Anatomy (see description below): BIOL 250 ANATOMY 4 Minimum of 48 lecture hours and 48 lab hours plus 16 hours by arrangement per term. Prerequisite: college level biology course with a grade of C or higher. Recommended Preparation: eligibility for ENGL 848 and completion of READ 400 or 405 with a grade of C or higher OR concurrent enrollment in READ 400 405 OR appropriate skill level as indicated by the reading placement tests or other measures. Description: Structure of the human body. Laboratory study and dissection of the human male and female. (Primarily intended for students of nursing physiotherapy physical education and related fields such as chiropractic. Elective for predental premedical and preveterinary students. Extra supplies may be required. Students may take either the BIOL 250260 or the BIOL 265266 series. (AA: Area E5a CSU : Area B2B3 UC: Area 5B5C* 2. Assist in curriculum revisions and new course development. 3. Consult with students during scheduled office and lab hours. 4. Maintain expertise in current technologies and techniques. 5. Perform other professional duties as are required by contract and general institutional needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Masters or above in any biological science OR Bachelors in any biological science AND Masters or above in biochemistry biophysics or marine science OR the equivalent (see below) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
