Job Description
Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Avon Ohio
Reports To: Plant Manager
Company Overview: A.J. Rose Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of precision metal stampings and valueadded components primarily serving the automotive industry. Our commitment to quality and innovation drives our success as we continue to expand our operations and meet the needs of our customers. We are seeking a handson and resultsdriven Production Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift operations and ensure production goals are met efficiently.
Position Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production staff setting priorities to meet production goals and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This role requires strong problemsolving skills mechanical aptitude and the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production staff and make recommendations as necessary.
- Set production priorities to meet established production goals.
- Monitor production efficiencies and downtime identifying and implementing solutions to improve performance.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular monitoring and process improvements.
- Address and respond to quality nonconformances.
- Schedule training and ensure all training requirements are met.
- Enforce plant safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe work environment.
- Manage employee engagement performance work with HR on policies and procedures.
Experience:
- Experience and training in the automotive components industry.
- Leadership experience is essential.
- Some college coursework preferred.
- Union experience a plus.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Essential Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude to assist in troubleshooting.
- Effective communication skills at multiple levels within the organization.
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Leadership experience
