Job Summary: Washand properly store all cooking utensils dinnerware glassware flatware potsand pans and other kitchen items.
Job Tasks:
1.Washesall wares in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitationstandards.
2.Collectstrash from kitchen areas; empties trash cans and washes and relines with newbags; breaks down boxes crates and removes debris.
3.Examinesgarbage for misplaced silverware dishes glassware and other reusable items.
4.Washesand cleans receiving trash and other kitchenrelated areas.
5.Sweepsand mops kitchen floors.
6.Storesall dishes and other wares in proper areas.
7.Cleansdishwashing machine and dish area after each event or meal period.
8.Performsother tasks such as assisting in food preparation storing foods after deliveryand cleaning coolers freezers and storerooms.
9.Maintainsinventories of soap chemicals and paper towels.
10.Transferssupplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
11.Handlesall china and glassware carefully to minimize breakage.
12.Continuallyinspects floor in kitchen areas to assure they remain clean dry and clear ofany debris.
13.Cleansand safely stores brooms mops and other cleaning equipment in proper places.
14.Usesall chemical cleaning supplies in a safe and careful manner.
15.Helpsfood servers by prioritizing the washing of specified service items.
16.Performsother appropriate tasks assigned by the Executive Chef.
