Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Speech Therapist to join the Speech Therapy clinic in Wittlich. You will provide therapy and rehabilitations services to patients in our speech therapy facility. We are searching for a flexible resourceful speech therapist to join our team. The speech therapists responsibilities include performing patient assessments developing individual treatment plans liaising with teachers family members and other healthcare professionals administering therapy and monitoring progress and ensuring patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques. You should also be able to work with patients from differentbackgrounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current and active BS or masters degree in Speech Therapy or speechlanguage pathology.
- Experience with certain disorders and age groups may be required.
- Sound understanding of speechrelated disorders and treatments.
- Excellent relationshipbuilding skills.
- Resourcefulness and strong problemsolving skills.
Responsibilities
- Performing patient assessments.
- Developing individual treatment plans.
- Liaising with family members and other healthcare professionals.
- Administering therapy and monitoring progress.
- Ensuring patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques.
- Assessing and treating speech and language disorders.
- Working with people who have a variety of disorders ranging from the inability to produce sounds to voice fluency problems or abnormal speech.
- Evaluating and documenting the ability of the client and caregiver to participate in care.
- Participating in treatment teams.
- Maintaining knowledge of theories and techniques in the field of communication disorders.
