The ideal candidate has at least 23 years of related experience in a healthcare setting. Must have the ability to multitask and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent phone skills. Responsibilities include: - Coordinating and surgery scheduling for 35 neurosurgeons to include coordination with precert patient and physician scheduling requests and patient notification.
- Serving as a primary liaison for hospital surgery scheduling relations.
- Maintaining block and surgeon efficiency.
- Schedules and/or reschedules patient surgical procedures at various entities in accordance with established protocols over the phone.
- Acquires the appropriate information and orders from the surgeon.
- Communicates schedule and presurgery instructions with patient over the phone.
- Requests and/or obtains the ordered materials and/or equipment needed for surgery and confirms with the surgeon before surgery to avoid delays and cancellations.
- Complies with all CNSA processes and HIPAA regulations.
- This is not a remote position.
- Other duties as assigned by changing needs patient flow or physician request.
