RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
- Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles to verify concerns and ensure proper repairs.
- Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Complete online multipoint inspection report
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of Fords as well as other Makes and Models.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisors and/or management so that customers are informed of any repairs or service that is needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for initial and additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Complete all warranty documentation to factory standards return warranty parts and cores per manufacturer.
- Coach and mentor less proficient technicians and apprentices to further their automotive knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ford certified & experienced
- Are a fast learner
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Are a team player
- Are computer literate
- Have a valid drivers license
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous automatic and manual transmission repair experience at a Ford or mediumduty dealership
- Dexterity requiring a steady hand excellent handeye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
